Truth and Reconciliation: Healing the Legacy of the Indian Residential Schools

Truth and Reconciliation: Healing the Legacy of the Indian Residential Schools was a conference held January 21-22, 2009 at the King's University College, Edmonton, Alta.

This winter interdisciplinary studies conference was co-sponsored by the Aboriginal and church leaders' "Remembering the Children" initiative. Guest speakers included residential school survivors, Aboriginal leaders from various communities, national church leaders, and many more.

As part of the conference, the ecumenical planning team of the Remembering the Children initiative sponsored a Jan. 21 special public evening event, which included addresses by national Aboriginal and church leaders, prayers, song, dance, and drumming.
